I think it’s a winning strategy for him, personally. He keeps his job, gets paid and will be welcomed in the private sector. What difference is it to him if Democrats are a majority? Probably prefers it the other way and hates the left, anyway.

These people are not able to fathom the idea that someone could have commitment to a principle without being paid good money. To them, this kind of dedication involves some irrational passion that suggests the activist is mentally unstable.
