Yeah I felt the last 30 minutes was super rushed. Not a lot of reflection on them actually getting home. I agree with you about the Kes episode too. I’d also follow Janeway into any mission any day lol.

Overall, this show had far more hit episodes than misses than any other Trek show. Usually, the first two seasons of a Trek show take a while to find its footing, but I think this show found it right away, and overall, I don't think there was a weak season in the bunch.

Of course, as a teen, I had a crush on Seven. I don't know any of my friends at the time who didn't, but what I enjoyed was the humanity that grew in her as the show continued. I loved it when she got to get out of the "emotionless drone" persona.

Chakotay was the surprise for me, and I really grew to love him each time there was a story focused on him. I loved his connection to his ancestors and his growing love of archaeology throughout the show. He really built loyalty with his crew, both Maquis and Starfleet.

Tom took a while to grow on me. He did some awesome things on the show and matured as an officer, but when he and B'Ellana got together, some of their storylines kinda were almost out of a sitcom rather than the sci-fi genre. The two actors and characters were awesome though

All the characters had an amazing impact on me. Tuvok growing to accept Neelix in the end as a friend, Harry, with his naivety at the beginning, really grew up to be a better bridge officer who deserved to be at least Lieutenant by the show's end.

I know there were tensions between Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew when Jeri joined the show. I wish that hadn't happened because knowing that, while watching, kind of tainted the relationship that the two characters had throughout the show. I thought they were amazing together.

I also loved Neelix a lot more than when I had watched this twenty years ago. He truly did care for his crew. He wanted to make sure they grew together as a family while they made the tough long journey home. He is the absolute heart of the show and I love that.

I also have a much better appreciation for The Doctor. As a teen watching this show live, I wasn't a fan of him. But as an adult, I loved how he started the series, finding his own individuality, and then taking those same lessons to help Seven find hers. Love that.

I love Janeway so much as a Captain. Her curiosity for science, her willingness to get her hands dirty in trying to solve a problem with her crew. I didn't like how, midway through, they tried to make her a badass Captain. She is, but her strength is in her mind & leadership

I love it. Yeah the upfront cost is a lot but so far totally worth it.

I'll have my first review of 2026 next week on this game, but I just finished it and wow this one took me by surprise on how much I really liked it. I mean it's Double Fine so I shouldn't be surprised, but this one got me good.
