Really? When I worked on the high school paper, I knew that a refusal to comment was basically an admission.

The issue isn't political sensitivity, it's lawful or unlawful. The law requiring the release allowed redactions for 2 reasons (1) victim names & (2) ongoing investigations. & the reasons for each redaction were supposed to be provided. The right question is whether the redactions were lawful.

I was in the Newark Airport and saw one of those self-deport and we give you money signs. A guy was taking a picture. He said, "I'm not an American." I said, "It's embarrassing."

Modern QB play is too conservative. The "no int" attitude sucks. Unitas, Namath, Elway, Manning (1,2&3) all threw interceptions and didn't take off and run every time things got a little hot in the pocket. But man, they were fun to watch.

Not a problem though, because he's not actually getting the money from tariffs. It has been reported that he's taking it from a fund to support military housing. It's a Peter-Paul kind of thing.

Sports is supposed to be fun. I was skeptical about the NBA cup. But 3 year in, it is undeniably fun. Ergo.

Good point, maybe rename it the "magical thinking crisis that every halfway decent college QB is actually first-round material if there is no one better that year."

Closing kick is the key in the NBA. In so many games, turnovers ramp up and shots become bricks as the clock tics on and exhaustion sets in. The champions overcome that, not every game, but most of the time.

True of all sports now, I think. My earliest memories of baseball include the idea that finishing first, second, or even third in your division was an accomplishment. Everyone tried to be good. No one tanked. I blame the Chicago Bulls after then canned Phil Jackson for the win or bust mentality.

So they'll take deportation because "they are all really terrorists bent on destroying America's status as a judo-christian nation" so that non-muslim Americans can't get abortions? Something's not adding up.

The universalism of the debate is also a problem. Trans people differ & every situation is different. In rare cases, a trans athlete may have an unfair advantage & that should be addressed. But overwhelmingly, a reasonable accommodation like adding an extra spot on the team would mitigate any harm.
