FWIW, I have a 16 Pro, and I like many of the changes in the new iOS. (Camera tweaks, for example.) Liquid Glass is meh for me, but I don't find it to be a particular power suck.

When my battery drains fast, I usually find it's an app that has decided to update itself in the background. For some reason, installing a new iOS sometimes makes other unrequested changes. You have to stamp that s**t out. :)

Nick, I am skeptical that Liquid Glass is your problem. According to the "Battery" in the iOS, the always on display took three percent of my battery usage (so far) today. There were several apps that took more. I was worried about it, too, but for me it isn't the case.
