As I said in my first sentence - if you have midterms. To be honest I thought he'd do it in his first term I thought he'd find a reason for declaring a state of emergency and canceling elections. He has absolutely nothing to lose now and that is a very real danger

A very large number of top Nazis were smuggled out of Germany and given jobs and new identities in the US after the war. They & their donors set up the Nazi Pioneer Fund & - orgs like the Heritage Foundation have continued it funding extreme right wing organizations across the world

I think a bigger danger looking in from outside is that Trump if you even get to the midterm elections, will deploy ICE agents at polling stations to try and intimidate people and stop them from turning up to vote. It's very clear the way this is going and I fear for all the decent Americans

I succeeded in protecting my timeline by never looking at the "for you" tab. I realised one day when I had eight successive tweets from awful right wing shrills I would never have followed in a million years and had never interacted with. Now I hardly use Twitter as it's much nicer here

The problem will be just as it is in the UK the cities will probably go with him but the countryside will not. The problems that enabled brexshit have not gone away and rural areas will never accept a progressive left wing leader especially god forbid a brown one
