I've magically stumbled into the world of the Professional Club DJ and kinda like it. Long suffering Minnesota Vikings fan (since '88). Former comic book reviewer, now in exile within a prison of his own longboxes.

Cut to 2026 and before the Nobel Peace Prize winner is announced, an honourable mention is given to President Donald Trump, followed by a 5 minute montage of violent actions by Federally mandated troops on US soil through 2025 ...soundtracked by James Brown's 'Living In America'

100% agree. It was fully known she was a 'loaded' journalist with barely hidden bias when she inherited the Sunday slot and now it feels like the BBC has built an editorial team around that bias. Deplorable. Emma Barnett would have been a far better and competent choice.

BBC accused of 'extraordinary' anti-Green bias after party say the Laura Kuenssberg Show scrapped a promised interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social on Sunday.

Green sources say the show also refused to interview Polanski after he was elected as leader last month

It breaks my mind that two British political parties have seen scenes like this and decided to try and replicate it in Britain. Thuggary, lawlessness, state brutality. Farage and Badenoch decided they liked the look of it.

This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

I know this is obvious when you think about it but we don’t think about it enough: fascists have to cow & persecute decent journalists to prevent them from reporting exactly what they, the fascists, are doing. Fascist-adjacent ‘journalists’ help by insisting that we shouldn’t call fascists facsists.

Blessing the technology gawds that Sennheiser are damn fine audio company and the headphones I bought some 8-9 years ago (and use every single week) are still ticking on because the main cable was an easy replacement.

The Tories gave us cabinet after cabinet of ghouls, Labour appear to be going down the 'cabinet of robots' route. Interesting strategy.

A true Home Secretary of the United Kingdom in the 21st Century probably should have attended a protest or two in their time in opposition (or just private lives) and understand the right to protest - with little to no limit - is a vital part of a healthy society.

"There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people".

Just told security and the on shift supervisor that there's a 'baggie' in the toilet. Met with indifference. Goes along with the mouldy urine fresheners then...

In the pub I'm supposed to start DJing at, usually at 9pm. Was told 10pm start weeks ago because of bands. On walk in today told 11pm at earliest because bands have said so. Band just asked the 'crowd' of 20 if they know the band 3 Doors Down.

One single cheer.

Abughazaleh: I think Kristi Noem should be tried at The Hague. And if the response from ICE to people exercising their first amendment right is to drive vehicles through them, they should not be an agency in the US.

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

Watching 'The Natural' off the back of Robert Redford starring (amongst many other names) and good grief I'd forgotten how janky Barry Levinson has been as a director. Take a look through that filmography and it's 5 lemons for every jackpot cherry.

I wasn't particularly surprised by any of the names appearing on the Riyadh Comedy Festival and then I saw Bill Burr's name mentioned today. Jeeez man, there's enough material there for you to go to town about the Festival, not attend it.
