Touhou is the IP you use to appeal to a niche playerbase floor. Any niche genre you like (especially of the doujin kind or the ones abandoned by Japanese AAAs) will inevitably have a Touhou spinoff. This makes it cool, as they all tag themselves with the Steam tag "Faith" (in Japanese), easy to find

For all the slander that goes against that game, I have to give it to Capcom for actually releasing it with an offline mode with most things still in it. Now, if we can get Castlevania's Grimoire of Souls' Apple Arcade exclusivity deal to end so Konami follows suit...

I consider it the best 3D Touhou-related game released so far. It's incredibly good at what it does, and it doesn't outscope itself into boredom either. Super recommended.

Oh, there's also Sekitori, which looks like an excellent spin on the Geometry Wars formula.

Not had a chance to play it early, but the developer has done some great stuff previously and I've got a good feeling about this one.

There's an Action Man game developed by Natsume Atari on the GBC. It's much better than it had any right to be, but still below most of Natsume Atari's output in the console. Also have to say Macaw is a cool dude.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and Prince of Persia The Lost Crown were actually some of the best games with soul that Ubisoft has released in the last decade, yet they were screwed by corporate decisions. It's a shame.
