This is a great and important point. But part of what was and remains so inspiring about MN is how quickly they went from 0-60 on mutual aid, ICE watching, etc.

But, frankly, people should be very skeptical of people's professions of willingness to fight. I live in DC and my IRL friends do nothing

It's part of why I think this whole deal is a set-up for a push to a simplified system and a hard cap. They have to know that it's bad to have a fanbase that don't understand the rules in a world where fake trades get 50x more attention than actual games.

I really miss the Washington Post but I'm not sure there's anything left to save. Jeff has drained all the integrity out of it. There's just no way to recover the trust that it took decades to acquire. Trust is a fragile thing.
