Trump is not the disease but merely its latest iteration & compilation. None of his actions are a hard break away from longstanding US precedent(s) in anything except in terms of style and scale. A refusal to understand this will very badly hobble any attempt to address or rectify it.

It is amusing that political literacy in the USA is so low that supporters of MAGA/MAHA/the Republican Party don't understand that they, too, are liberals. And what is far worse is that there are so many liberals who believe they are socialists and Marxists and anti-imperialists.

China is not the USA and has said publicly numerous times that they do not aspire to be another USA. But people get really hyped by USA propaganda that paints China as an imperialist global threat and then they demonize China;
