Chronic illness life: nature-guided nervous system work and trauma recovery. Pacing and living with Lupus, RA, POTS. Hiking, fishing, riding. Blog + video. Still rolling.
The forest doesn’t fix you. It shows what still breathes beneath the exhaustion. In that silence, I heard myself.

Love it. Just had a great call with friend I hadn't heard from in months... We laughed a lot, it was welcomed and needed.

For sure, I can tell when a cold front or rain is coming in before I even check the weather. When I was a kid my mother use to say she could feel it in her bones. Then in my teens I also developed RA and understood exactly what she meant.

Thanks for sharing the app! Data turns the chaos into something you can actually work with. I was tracking with spreadsheets for a long time, but I'm kind of obsessive... So I have to be mindful that it's just data and not a record of my personal failures.

Even with #Sleep, #Food, and #Movement in place, I still felt stuck. Not a cure — but supporting your gut can calm your immune system enough to make some days a little less shitty, especially during flares.

Love this, not every experience needs to be grand or planned...."Wandering can be practised either near your home or when you are travelling, but don’t wait to travel to try it."

“And sometimes, in the strangest, quietest moments, the view is unexpectedly beautiful.”

Undeniable synchronicity, coming off flare so I thought, went for mini celebratory walk. A few moments later–surprise–roller coaster! lol. Regardless, being outside after the rain was glorious and needed.

Ugh, the constant imaging, labs, exams, endoscopy "surveillance", etc... just to make sure we're not getting worse from meds - is for sure - it's own kind of fatigue and stress.
