I saw him a ton in the late 90s including one searing show at the Aladdin in Portland in 99. The handful of times I caught him in the early aughts, I yearned for that raw feel but was relieved at some level that his music was becoming more benign. Alas, his demons clearly persisted.

KJP doesn’t get nearly enough love across every platform. He was, by turns, one of the most raw and virtuosic guitar players and songwriters, and his darkness helped me through a few particularly difficult periods of my life.

This should be an owner problem and not a coop issue (unless for some reason monthly power bills go through coop). Did you open a new account with ConEd when you closed on the apt? If so, any old bills should go to old owner/acct.

I’m a subway and bike commuter from BK to Bryant Park, but it’s been noticeably quieter during the morning rush and throughout the day. If this continues, it’ll be a huge quality of life upgrade, at least in midtown.

Man, what a difficult guy to try to interview. Thanks for engaging him and for putting this out there. I had no idea of his reach and feel increasingly concerned about the dominance of these dark ideas that are now being enacted.
