What a cozy space to create in. After cleaning, I feel so energized to jump back into the process of designing.

We watched Red One and Klaus last night. I was pleasantly surprised by Red One.

With reading, I don't collect books. I enjoy discussing them with others. There is less dusting involved.
I hate dusting.
It is time to pare down the books on my shelves again.

This book is packed with information. I am not versed in the area or people that are being discussed, so it is a miss for me.
It is my lack of knowledge, not the author's writing.

Do we need another casino that only creates low wage jobs? And don't forget the extra ferris wheel. One is never enough.

The Smoke of Gold is Glory by Scott Lynch
I liked the device if using a storyteller to tell the story from first-person POV. The description of the dragon was very different. Nods were given to Tolkien and DND(that last was maybe my perception only)

The overall story is not original. It adds very little to the discussion of the topic. It is a positive story for the genre, which is a plus. Part 2 and 3 were the most interesting, adding some depth. Overall, a simple story with likable characters and a happy ending.

The Mocking Tower by Daniel Abraham

This was okay. It was saved by the last scene.

"I am a Handsome Man, " Said Apollo Crow by Kate Elliot

The man character stays true to form. He only does what is best for him. It is unusual.

Each chapter is in the first-person POV, Kathleen/Kit, Rebekah, Landon. They are all around 17 years of age.
Rebekah's father is German, and they have just moved from Quebec to Ontario. This is causing some tension in the town.
