Finishing off the dump with some of the weapons I made pre-texturing that have been somewhat scrapped up to this point.

Just showing a "what if scenario" if the character held said scrapped weapon. It's just because its as satisfying to look at alongside the SPAS-12. It's one of those "late 90s/Y2K one-man-army/cop/merc" guns that you'd see in The Matrix or Resident Evil.

Trust me, there will be more brands than just "Chill Cola" when CyberAnima reaches a palatable state. Also yes you can heal yourself in-game by drinking cola. A screenshot of CyberAnima from late 2023(?). This has street lamps in a test room. No, they're not textured. Also this was before I switched the import material of Qodot (later func_godot) to vertex shading, so the lighting looks pretty high-res instead of the mid-res PS2/GameCube look I'm rooting for. The light coronas we're heavily inspired by Torque Engine games, like Tribes 2 and Blockland, both childhood guilty pleasures of mine. If you know, you know. Though I'd wish I hybridized it with real images of traffic cones with the plastic reflections and stuff baked in. Also you can see the player has hands. Also now that you're here, I'd like to say that CyberAnima had a working weapon system when it was more "boomer shooter"-esque up until mid 2023 when I wanted to work on a HL1-styled weapon system, with the hands/pistol being there for show. There's still no weapon system as of now. I am slow and lazy. :(

Some weapons for CyberAnima. Most of these are scrapped in favor of different weapons.
A render of a low-poly Desert Eagle for CyberAnima as the starting pistol, circa early 2024. This model is pretty outdated since 99% of the texture is pasting real pictures of a Desert Eagle, rather than possibly fusing both photography and stock Photoshop effects. A render of a low-poly IWI CTAR-21 intended to be used in CyberAnima as the assault rifle, circa early 2024. This model is scrapped because CyberAnima's AR will be based on a different gun. Also if you look closely you can still see the white background of the reference I used. Again, I was still wack at UVs among other things so the "paste images and crud" method of texturing is what I did.

Going to dump some old CyberAnima screenshots and related stuff dating back to 2022. I'm a slow and novice developer unfortunately.

A screenshot of CyberAnima from September 2022. This was back when the game was more "boomer shooter"-esque rather than being an action-adventure focused/Half-Life inspired game. Also for some odd reason there's no texture filtering. The map in the game is a map stixc (as in I) made called Flatzone Maximus for the Quake Brutalist Jam once for funsies. You can also clearly see an old pistol model, back when my modelling and texture/UV skills were terrible. A screenshot of CyberAnima from early 2023. I was trying to figure out how to make interiors and textures and I'm not a fan of the results. I blame the fact I lack reference. (i.e. concept art, mood photos, etc) Yes, I intentionally took the screenshot at 800x600 for the hell of it.

I think I've deleted this by accident on various platforms but here's an old model of a trip-mine for CyberAnima back in Nov. 2023. I think the UVs on this one we're crummy and so forth. May re-do this in the future.

I know it's a bit early to say this, but since a HUGE update released for it; happy 20th birthday to Half-Life 2!

HL1 was super influential to me and countless others, and so is HL2 with it's gameplay, story, physics and graphics. It's inspiration to a LOT of games and things is important. 🥳
