Year 4 had a workshop with Severn Trent this morning. Andy spoke to us about the water cycle and climate change. We used measuring cylinders to measure the amounts of water. We also had to work in groups to solve water saving scenarios.

Year 4 and 5 enjoyed their Severn Trent assembly this morning. We learnt all about what we use water for, the water cycle, the journey of water from rivers to arriving to us at school and our homes, how we can save water and the journey of sewage! 🌧️💧🏞️🚰

Reception have been thinking about different materials for their superhero cape. What better way to explore than hands on experiences and a snippet from the Disney film ‘The Incredibles’. They even worked together to quiz their knowledge of the best materials to choose.

science : Year 5 are learning about plants and all aspects of their life. We have taken cuttings from a geranium and each table has a plant to care for - they are propagating - hopefully, by the end of this academic year, we will see some gorgeous blooms as well :)

Reception explored Article 28 of the Human Rights Act and discovered a modern-day superhero, Malala Yousafzai.The girls were horrified to be separated from the boys only to be told they were not allowed to go to school.They learned how Malala advocated for girls in Pakistan to have an education.
