Black Americans should move beyond perspectives filtered through the lens of good and evil. In 2025, they were admittedly surrounded by much evil and much less good. But in 2026, they will be better served by looking through the lens of power and weakness. The resolution: Focus on the former.

Trump's $200mm ballroom is equal to an astronomical $2,200 per sq. ft. I know of a hotel project in NYC with construction costs of $650 psf. Is Trump including a developer's fee for himself or his company? The media should ask, and Congress should receive a detailed budget.

A recent election poll suggests that Republican Elise Stefanik is gaining ground on NY Governor Hochul. New Yorkers should understand that few events—other than the bubonic plague—would be more disastrous for the state than the election of that MAGA sock puppet.
