And my understanding is that 1 GW of coal capacity = 3 or 4x the output of 1 GW of solar or wind, due to capacity factors. I fear that this post isn't giving a clear picture. Isn't China building out ALL its energy sources (including coal, nuclear, etc...)? And I don't think it is shrinking its fossil imports so much as getting them elsewhere (Iran, Russia, Brazil, etc...)?
