I like to think that work held off on doing anything remotely difficult until I came back from vacation. It makes me feel needed.

“We’re currently fighting a lawsuit from a former employee - one that names the bar, the owner, and members of our management team. The suit claims discrimination based on the former employee being a heterosexual cisgender woma and, shockingly, alleges that Precinct discriminates against white employees. These claims are completely false. To make matters worse, the attorney representing this case, in our opinion, appears to have a clear anti-LGBTQ agenda. There are multiple reports - including from individuals who previously worked with him - that he used anti-LGBTQ slurs in written emails while at his former firm. We’re doing everything we can to defend ourselves - but the legal battle is draining us emotionally and financially. And we can’t do it alone. Instead of launching a GoFundMe or asking for donations, we’re asking something simpler: Come to the bar. But a drink. Order some food. Tip the staff. Show up. Precinct isn’t just a bar - it’s a queer community hub, and we feel the responsibility of that every day. We’re not asking for charity. We’re asking for solidarity. Your presence matters. That's me behind Jeff (in the green hoodie)! Of the six of us, only me and Aprotim knew the lore behind Fantasy High. It was fun explaining the "I'm gonna $hit in your mouth" catchphrase of one of the characters.
