Trump needs to sustain falling prices for his local producers to remain profitable. Eliminating Russian supply is now a tool in his price control pocket. As US becomes dominant producer and rest of the world electrifies the new OPEC headquarters are moving into White House.

It is happening due to technical reasons as there is nowhere to store oil. Soon to preserve piping system oil wells will have to begin shutting down one by one, after that it is very difficult and expensive to restart for the type of wells that are being used in Russia.It is the end of their economy

US has been preparing for this since 2022. At the end of 2025 they finally achieved enough of a buffer to start enforcing sanctions that were already in place but were allowed to be evaded because Russian supply was still needed. Now it is no longer needed and production in Russia is dropping quick.

Trump's administration's plan for oil is much more complex. They want to take over price control meaning they will control more supply, get more revenue and won't let prices fall to unprofitable for US local producers. That will be achieved by eliminating Russian oil.

I know Americans who go to mega churches of some obscure denomination that is bordering on a cult while most Canadians I know who are religious are some typical Protestant or Catholic who go to church once a month or so, very much like most Europeans. What is happening in the US is very very weird

We on the sane left who want progressive taxes, inheritance tax for massive wealth, basic low price energy allowances subsidized by excessive users and housing market disinvestment from legal entities are UNABLE to unite for what would be popular party just because idealists prioritize foreigners

Working class introduced 3rd party. 2 party system means that they had to kill 1of 2, their ideology means that the other is cooked too. At last people got rid of both Dems' and GOP establishment. Pure evil has replaced it but that is the consequence of denying Americans multiparty system for years.

Working class doesn't care about Republicans. They love MAGA and TRUMP because they broke the hated 2 party system. GOP is dead, so are Dems, you just don't understand it yet. Either former Dems push US to embrace multi-party parliamentarism or US ends up with one(MAGA) party authoritarianism.

Multi-party parliament can be functional with high threshold (e.g. only top 5 parties share seats for easier coalition making) and yet representative (ranked system where vote could be transferred to secondary more popular party in case primary vote is for the party left below threshold)

US is now openly on team dictatorships, why would it promote enemies. Electing bipartisan dictator for 4 years no longer works in modern age. Dems have to realize there is no going back or they will keep losing, two viable choices for future remain: one party dictator or multi-party parliamentarism.

US and russian oligarchs will slowly pluck off democracies one by one in whole world until everyone lives in dystopian totalitarian states with no or at least no real elections (like in russia). That is only possible when strongest state on Earth becomes evil. Thanks Americans!
