Checking my Trello board, this is the art I saw that inspired me, which is by the excellent teabag.cartoon on IG from 5 years ago.

I switched Abusive to Ableist due to a discussion on a reddit thread that gave me the idea in the first place.

Anne is a great designer and neither design is a copy of the other, but I just cannot get over the similarity.

I'm no expert designer and there's some issues with mine (the width of the capital letters varies too much) but I was using this as part of improving with Illustrator.

The Official Strongman website is more focused on selling membership to people who want to watch (which I get) and doesn't seem to have any specific competition rules.

The Strongman Games site similarly doesn't have competition rules published (that I could see).

I asked a friend who knows the scene to explain for me.

Strongman Corporation are responsible for all of the US-based games that allow competitors to qualify for the Strongman Games.

Strongman Games are a different but associated body and they ran the world championships that we're talking about.

Yeah, search engines massively bias towards recency, so it's always very hard to find information from before an event that generated multiple news articles. 😞

I really hope that within my lifetime we can end these constant waves of hatred aimed at trans women.

We shouldn’t have to fight just to be seen as human.

We shouldn't be deemed automatically guilty or deceptive because people are transphobic. 😞

And regardless of all of this:
She’s a human being.

It seems that the organising body stripped her title and made their statement without even speaking to her.

Just declared her a cheat. An abomination.

Yet people still fall back on imagining Eddie Hall or Brock Lesnar throwing on a dress and crushing women’s sports.

It’s never about real trans women, only caricatures.

And it all seems to come from someone who saw a YouTube video from 8 years ago where she allegedly said she’s trans.
So she’s been competing as a woman for at least 8 years, likely on HRT longer.
