They definitely got the dog, you can see it’s bleeding from the left hindquarters and limping, the man is trying to pull it along, dog trying to sit and lick its wounds, doesn’t comprehend where the danger came from 💔

Comparison to the Soviet-Afghan war (1979-1989) seems far more relevant. Often called the „Soviet Vietnam“ is considered to have played a role in the downfall of the USSR - with only a fraction of the losses that Ukraine has already produced. 1/2
