same but worse for me. I’m lying on my stomach and the cat is asleep on the backs of my legs (she always wakes when I try to get a photo of her)
A calico lies comfortably unbothered on the back of her human’s legs as human is laying on their stomach on the couch. From the weird angle, the photo was clearly taken under one arm seen raised up on the left edge of frame.

The Poppy War.
So far meeting expectations. I’m enjoying the audio narration, too.

The Marriage Portrait, Maggie O’Farrell
Cover of Acceptance, a novel by Jeff Vandermeer. Sometimes you want to sit in a box for a while
A calico cat is seen head on as she sits facing the camera, the symmetrical shape of her reduced to a head on top of a round, mostly white circle of body, and just the front of two white paws tucked neatly under the body. The cat is crouched centred inside a box that is open on its side. The top of the box is lost in shadow, and the angle of light creates interesting lines, shapes, and contrasts around the cat. The cat seems to be looking at something below the device used to take the photo, maybe a bit miffed to be disturbed in her safe space.

Comic strip of Calvin & Hobbes. Calvin arrives home in first panel, announcing “I’M HO-OME!” In next 14 half-panels, Calvin opens the door and out of the black interior, Hobbes the tiger leaps at him and tackles him in slow motion, causing Calvin’s shoes to fly off. In the final frame, Calvin, supine, wrecked on the floor, utters, “Ever notice how time slows down during a catastrophe?” Hobbes, also supine but propped up on one arm and looking wistful, says, “Sighhh.. And good time are always over so fast..”

My loaf of calico
A calico cat sleeping in a round shape on a much-used black fleece blanket, pictured from the back so that her head, tail, and feet cannot be seen. Her shape is like a loaf of round sourdough bread. Her colouring is mainly black tabby on the left, mainly orange tabby on the right, but the edging around the top, from left corner to right corner is white.
