✨ The yew tree path now softly lit for the dark evenings. A safer, calmer, and beautifully atmospheric way through the churchyard.

👀 Tired of sermons that treat the Trinity like maths homework?
1+1+1 = … whaaaat?

Here’s a better idea:
🕺 It’s a party. A movement. A rhythm. A groove.
You’re invited.

Trinity isn’t a problem to solve. It’s a beat to move to.
So, bring your twirls. Bring your wobble. God can handle it.

🐞 Spotted in the churchyard! Ladybird larvae (those spiky black bugs!) and adults are thriving here—great news for biodiversity. They’re natural pest controllers and a sign of a healthy habitat. 🌿🌼 #EcoChurch #Ladybirds #Biodiversity #WildlifeFriendly

🌿 Eco Tip for June 🌿
Avoid cutting hedges and trees while birds are nesting (March–August)! 🐦

Let’s protect chicks and care for creation. A small pause makes a big difference. ✝️🌍

In the unmown areas of the churchyard, buttercups are blooming in quiet abundance, their golden petals swaying gently among the headstones. These wildflowers thrive where the grass is left to grow, creating a peaceful haven for pollinators

Tiny jewels by the wall at St. Oswald’s
These delicate speedwell flowers—barely the size of a fingernail—are quietly blooming along the church wall. A small reminder of spring’s persistence in even the humblest places.

Spotted in the church porch: a stunning Poplar Hawk-moth!
Part of a lifecycle that begins in our trees & ends in silent flight through summer nights.
As an Eco Church, we’re proud to support biodiversity in our wooded churchyard.

Welcome to the Fernery – a peaceful corner of our Quiet Garden. Nestled in the churchyard, this green sanctuary is more than just beautiful — it’s part of our Eco Church commitment.

Ferns help stabilise soil, retain moisture, and provide shelter for insects, frogs, and small birds.
