I went out to see it at a sports bar with my dad, both of us Bay Area based but me rooting for the Bears... absolutely amazing experience, super glad that was the game we watched.

Pretty much -- it's a Swedish movie I think, I saw it at a movie marathon in Santa Cruz. It takes those aspects of the Grimm tales and dials them up, and interprets them through a lens of the way patriarchy pushes women to reshape themselves for the male gaze.

Side note -- I don't know if you'd be interested in this, but if you are, there's an annotated version of Heir (just the first book though) with a bunch of author footnotes about the writing process, which I found fascinating.

For what it's worth, I THINK he didn't write any Star Wars stuff between the Heir trilogy and the Hand duology. Not sure, but I think that's the case, so I think your interpretation is pretty valid
