I haven't used the new version that's come out post their acquisition by Canva. But I really liked designer and photo for my workflows. I missed some of the tools that Illustrator had, but I guess in the grander scheme of things I'd rather come up with workarounds than pay adobe a monthly fee...

Between cycles, geometry nodes and support for Intel GPUs coming at the pace it did, Blender truly stands as a beacon for OSS and transparent sw dev…

Also true about the folks who realized that blender was at a crossroad- I’m so glad they acknowledged deficiencies and I’m so happy with how things have developed.

(Some former colleagues of mine who’ve worked in the industry longer, maintain this opinion 😂…)

The gatekeeping from the pre-2.8 folks can be tiring, but I feel like those voices aren’t as loud especially with where the larger community is today!

It honestly might be one of my favorite pieces of (open source) software.

I live for the day that GIMP goes through a Blender like transformation and becomes infinitely more usable than whatever is the case today 😂

What would be dope, is somebody stepping in to make a wired blu-ray/disc drive peripheral for this!

Except for that last level, I am really fond of this game's campaign! Really underrated background score as well!
