With him (and Lou), l'd spend mornings like this with the back door open so they could enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while still feeling close to me and being able to check on me. No need for that today. The door and blinds are closed. I miss my boys.

I never want to come back to Texas, but I sure am glad I got to do this with my dad. Spent my whole life in love with this sport and this team because of him, and I can think of no better way to enjoy life than at the Final Four.

Duke won by 20 against the reviled Nate Oats/Bama squad, and I had to miss it. The only thing that’ll get me to miss March Madness is Brand New, and man, was it worth it.
I’ll make up for it next week by going to San Antonio 🤠
