I’m deeply grateful to everyone who supports my mission
to show Ukraine to the world.

This week’s gratitude for you –
my travel diary from the palaces of Vinnytsia region,
little-known, non-touristic places
in the heart of Ukraine:

Meanwhile, russia keeps attacking Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

Today: an oil depot in Pryluky (north),
rail and energy facilities,
a thermal power plant.

In Donetsk region (east),
a coal enrichment plant was also attacked.

Winter is coming. I’ll keep you updated on its ‘arrival.’

Hi. Kyiv is a very big city. I don't know everyone here.
It is a pity that you chose this post to ask this question.

These paintings were made
on boards from ammunition boxes
by Ukrainian soldier
Serhii Herasymenko in 2023.

Seen today at the exhibition

It is so beautiful moment, Jim. Thank you!

Greetings from Kyiv,
where I’m having a warcoffee
after visiting an exhibition
(don’t know if anyone else shows you all this Ukrainian art).

Kyiv lives.

Some Ukrainian beauty
to your feed.

It’s viburnum (kalyna 🇺🇦).
One of Ukraine’s deepest symbols.
Since ancient times, its red berries have meant life, love, and endurance.

Recently, I visited an exhibition by Oleksandr Glyadyelov,
a Ukrainian documentary photographer.

His photo series The Unneeded especially struck me.
I added captions to some of the photos
and want to share them with you.

Update: I’m already at home.

Conclusion: always have a book.
You never know when you might get stuck,
especially during the war.

A glimpse into life in Kyiv.
Air raid alert.
I’m at the metro station,
waiting for the all clear to cross the bridge
(trains don’t cross the river during alerts, it’s dangerous).

I have books to read.
So I’m sitting and reading.

Greetings from a bookstore in Kyiv,
where I’m having a warcoffee.

It was a letter-writing morning.
And now my always hungry brain
is waiting for its reward –
a book.

I’ll end this day (midnight in Kyiv)
with some good news.

A drone attack set fire to russia’s Kirishi oil refinery,
forcing it to shut down its largest unit
– about 40% of total capacity.
Repairs may take a month.

Sometimes I think
that maybe my posts and letters about Ukraine
could make you not only fall in love
with this wounded land,
but also look closer at
the country you live in,
the treasures you have,
the beauty your eyes can reach.

Oh, silly thoughts.
But good to have them anyway.
strategywoman.bsky.social
No, there are shoes from different parts of the world.
strategywoman.bsky.social
I was editing photos
and wanted to show you one.

It’s not a shoe store.
it’s a photo from the shoe museum.

Yes, we have one in Ukraine.
Details soon 👣

I only show such things, don’t sell anything.
strategywoman.bsky.social
I saw it the other day
at the art market.

I show you a lot of Ukrainian art,
but rarely sculpture.

Hi, my dear. I'll write what I know about that boarding school.
Anyway, boarding schools in Ukraine differ in their focus-some for orphans, others to children from low-income families, and so on.

Greetings from Kyiv,
where I’m having a warcoffee
after the workout.

Glad to be back to my routine.

Get ready to see more from my trip.
I’ll be editing photos, writing my travel diary,
and stubbornly reminding you about Ukraine 🙈
strategywoman.bsky.social
It is incredibly beautiful 🤩
