Comparing the data with such studies done in schools it shows that aside from some concert venues or pubs there are barely any places with worse air quality then schools of many countires - it’s hard to call this anything other than a complete societal disregard for children.
Chart C.1.2.4 of ImpAQS – Final Report von McLeod, Hopfe et al. excerpt from the summary describing the main point of the chart: "For example, when the outside air temperatures are 10 °C or below, mechanically ventilated classrooms have on average 450–600 ppm lower daily mean CO2 concentrations than naturally ventilated schools. )". It also shows a large seasonal variation of the values, with the summer being significantly worse. Diagram by Beck, Rojas et al. showing measured CO₂ concentrations as a function of temperature, differentiated between mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation. Mechanical ventilation exhibits an average CO₂ concentration of around 1000 ppm, largely independent of outdoor temperature. In contrast, naturally ventilated spaces show higher CO₂ concentrations at lower temperatures. At 0 °C, concentrations exceed 2000 ppm, and even at 15 °C they are still around 1400 ppm.
