I’m a seed saver. I was just 3D printing tiny Minecraft boxes for my grand-niece and realized they will make great seed boxes. I will print more for me!

I seem to remember a great sci fi movie starring Dustin Hoffman that started out like this

I guess you’d call this a Virgin Sunrise, since it has no alcohol. Home grown pomegranate juice and super sweet orange juice from the fruit stand down the road. You couldn’t buy a drink this good in any but the finest most expensive restaurants, I’ll bet

Don't let Trump get near them!

He's the George Washington of wind turbines.

How pomegranates grow. I always pick them at Halloween, because it usually rains right after that and any fruit that are cracked get waterlogged and gross.

I'm planning to visit the Salton Sea "mud volcanoes" because I'm a nerd. But look at this overhead photo! Every one of those squares is owned by a different person/family. Each one is 40-80 acres. Who said small farms are dead!

I live in Zone 9b — Southern California desert. For years I’ve been trying to grow edible ginger like when I lived in zone 8. Here is the secret: grow surrounded by taller plants. Not just shade.. I tried that and partial shade. I think the surrounding plants must create a micro climate.

My ginger is looking great! Finally, I can grow my own ginger

It’s like chain mail for your fruit!

I have a nylon version on order too.

I’ll share …. I hope they will too.

Birds have discovered the waterfall for drinking now. The day I see them discover the little shallow spots in the “stream” for taking baths, I will be very excited.

Sadly, sitting down and explaining how 'sharing' works doesn't help. Believe me.. I keep trying. My 'favorite' is when the cutest villains have a wine&fig tasting party (hold the wine) where they take one bite out of each fig.

More progress making the stream more natural. Total drop is 6 feet. The plastic at the bottom is at the waterfall. I want to change the sound and make it lighter and more pleasant.

20 years ago I made compost piles 10’ high that burned hard and fast. Then I moved to the desert. I tried a variety of ways to compost but the piles just dried out and sat there. I finally have a process that works. This pile is 5’ high. You can see it looks like dirt covered with brush.

I’m kind of surprised these things work. But mine has been very popular for a few years now.
