Half the population don't even know their own income, let alone their own numbers on these key categories.

The vastly decreased consideration of others in recent years is evidence of pervasive societal rot imo. People didn't used to brazenly make others miserable to avoid minor inconveniences at this scale 6 years ago.

I just think the veneer polite society has come off since the pandemic. Selfishness has always been common and these people cannot even pretend to care about others anymore after they were asked to do minor things so others wouldn't die.
