Or get new friends - the jaded PT crowd is nearing penny bingo and wheel of fortune age!

I enjoyed the unknown and relative freedom of 04-09. It feels like the “medium four” of tDB, moe., UM, and STS9 had their relative “fire music” peaks during those years too

I would honestly travel for Goose and Billy to the PNW if we didn’t have a 2.5 and 9 year old. They love the music too, but travel for four people is a lot pricier than travel for two.

I was talking about TLG the other day. They had some magic. Same with Hot Buttered Rum. Bright spots of hiatus

I need to listen to more Molly Tuttle!

But yeah, there are no bands that I currently travel out of state for. I’d either need to win the lottery or have a band enter the Phish 1.0 or Grateful Dead tier of love for me, and no one’s there or even really close to that.

detect or tap into. Goose has more in common with DMB and The Band than they do with the other bands you listed, from a songwriting perspective, and they’re not on the same level as either of those.

That’s a good point. I don’t know that their music tells any personal stories or conveys battles or deep emotional connection. I do have emotional connections and response to songs like Elmeg the Wise and Jed Stone, so there are stories there, just not ones borne from personal struggle that I can

while it’s certainly not challenging, it’s fun. We all have different things to make us go, and Goose hits some of those things for me.

For me there’s a happy medium between obsession and music to clean to. I had to readjust how I listened to music after realizing I missed out on my favorite version of Phish. I enjoy the way I feel when I listen to Goose. It’s not quirky or weird, but it’s good music to me. It’s pop-tinged, and

Fair enough!

Members of GSBG liking Goose’s music isn’t enough to give them another shot?

Yeah I 100% want one!

Got some of that at Costco yesterday. It’s solid fake beer

This isn’t very B4L of you

Phish should bring back Spread It Round.

Lyrics were ahead of the “love and light” time. Rework a little bit and it would be warmly welcomed back

Hell yeah

Weekly standpoint jams would be ranked on a nug system, from beasters all the way up to firemost
