I understand being fiscally conservative & perhaps the City thinks paying one of their existing staffers to throw together a prompted video is a savings.

But the value of human connection, real voices & faces is more necessary now than ever.

I'm disappointed to see the City of Lethbridge turn to AI generated video "commercials" for their election promotion.

As someone who does video in #yql maybe I am biased, but there are a ton of people in this city who are talented in this field & this uninspired AI scripting is embarrassing.

Come see #Lethbridge through the eyes of 30+ artists. We took photos of 53 different blank spaces in the city, got them printed big on canvases & gave them to creatives to (re)imagine into public art.

The art they created is on exhibit for the first time Saturday, September 6th. Free to attend!
