Partner, prof, pups’ pop, aversion to alliteration. Pseudo-intellectual. Treaty 7. I will post about housing & homelessness policy. Opinions on local #Lethbridge govt? Just ask! Animal welfare advocate. Hippy at heart who may tell you to PFO. 🤣
Hey #Lethbridge City Council, before we get too hung up on the ‘ideology of blanket rezoning’, take a look at the practical consequences of the dialogue you’re about to engage in.

Dale Nally accessed a constituent’s voting record. Most campaigns have elections Alberta data that shows whether or not someone voted. As a volunteer on campaigns I have had access to such data.

But have I ever accessed voter data and used it to attack someone?

Hell no.

And neither should he.

We caught the UCP red-handed.

We asked Public Safety & Emergency Services for any correspondence between Min. Ellis & the Edmonton Police Commission.

They told us - twice - there was none.

We asked the Commission & got 130 pages including 5 letters signed by Ellis. #abpoli

Note the UCP's meme 👇.

In this particular case, the government has broken commitments to preserve public healthcare.

More worrisome, they're keeping more promises than they made in their 2023 platform.

This is highly concerning.

Not that I'm surprised. If Albertans have demonstrated anything it is that there is not, in fact, any consequences for politicians.

Corruption, illegal acts, dishonesty, and any other gross behaviour is simply ignored as long as they say a few "f*CK Trudeau's" after.

AB Politics 101: Premier Danielle Smith's master class in selective history.

AB portrays itself as a peripheral colony serving the industrial priorities of Canada’s core.

Smith's pressure on B.C. to compromise marine ecology for AB's economic benefit replicates that very dynamic.

That is all!

See Alberta! Drawing on Project 2025 … again!! 👇
The UK is a strongly pro-choice country with 86% of Britons wanting abortion to be legal in all or most cases. But the US anti-choice movement has been investing heavily into campaigns in Britain, and Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party seems to be support the interference.
The worrying rise of US anti-abortion rhetoric is in full force - how deep is Reform UK's involvement?
Money is pouring into anti-abortion campaigns in Britain, and it seems Nigel Farage’s party isn’t pushing back…

This is one incredibly inventive protest event. Kudos to whoever thought this one up!👍🤟
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Since the UCP did not campaign on what it is doing, let’s do “recall” as one Citizen Initiative:

“The undersigned residents of Alberta petition the Legislative Assembly to request the Lt Governor to dissolve the Legislature immediately for the purpose of holding a General Election.”

The UCP has abandoned conservatism. Not just Lougheed's brand. Klein's brand, too.

The party lost its grip years ago.

It's time for conservatives in this province to speak up about it.

This is great and I will sign the petition. Thank you, Corb!

However, is it only "foreign" ruination that concerns us? Are we OK if Canadian companies obliterate the Eastern Slopes and destroy the Oldman headwaters? (spoiler: I'm not)

The UCP's pre-emptive use of the notwithstanding clause is further evidence of their populist approach to policymaking.

Pluralists -- whether progressives committed to minority rights or libertarians prizing checks & balances on government power -- must stand together against this over-reach.
Our research team has been studying polarization in Alberta for the past 5 years.

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the elite-level divisions are not so much left-vs-right, but pluralist vs populist.+
