The open secret that Thomas King is not Indigenous at all is finally verified, and honestly it's a relief. Having him just confess this instead of going out kicking and screaming like so many before him causes a LOT less harm to Indigenous communities.

It still sucks though.

Yeah, there are lot of open secrets about folks playing Indian. There are groups dedicated to outing them, and have been for some time, but a LOT of work also happens behind the scenes trying to hold people to account. A lot of painful things that communities want to avoid during this process.

every story about AI is a cautionary tale against relying on it in any way.

if you paid 1.6 million for a report you shouldn't be finding errors in it.

It’s amusing, though, to see the Recall Act largely follow the same pattern that its previous incarnation (under Bible Bill Aberhart) set.

Gentle reminder (for Mr. Nally’s benefit) that any eligible elector can be a petitioner regardless whether or not that person voted in prior elections.
Dale Nally's recall petitioner says he doesn't listen to constituents and cites his concerns over the notwithstanding clause.

Nally responds by saying the petitioner doesn't vote and works as a proxy for a group weaponizing the recall act and the petition has no merit.

Watched “The Order.” A pretty good film, with the weirdness of having been filmed in Calgary near where I used to live (North Hill mall features in it).

Shoutout to Bragg Creek, too.

I’m so glad that Lumpy’s idiotic video has resurfaced for further mockery.
After getting Byrne'd it seems appropriate, will they bring back the big blue tent that O'Toole bragged about? We need to remember Mercedes Stephenson's ex husband worked on O'Toole's campaign.

Danielle Smith lies again!

When asked about her abuse of the notwithstanding clause, Danielle Smith defended the decision by claiming the Supreme Court ruled that possession of child pornography was acceptable.

The Supreme Court never said that.

Tonight at 8!

The UCP are trying to erode trust in the courts by calling judges "appointed activists", lying about rulings & by invoking the notwithstanding clause to get around legal judgement on 4 bad laws.

Lawyer Will Van Engen helps us sort it all out!
