Bill 9 isn't "secularism", it's religious discrimination and repression.
*There are some specific aspects of Bill 9 I agree with, but this version of 'laicity' is an overreach by state that infringes on people's Freedom of Religion, disproportionately impacting minorities.

Good interview. @robbreakenridge.bsky.social does a nice job of introducing citizen initiatives & Corb an equally good job of explaining why we need clear legislation to prohibit coal mining activities in the eastern slopes.

You can't suddenly say no one collects $200 anymore when you pass Go because you keep rolling threes.

I'm not a recall fan, but you can't keep changing the rules mid-game to your favour.

Don't like your own rules you ran elections on? Then get another mandate

Tomorrow, the Auditor General will release his report into the UCP's Dynalife fiasco.

They're hoping to flood the zone this week with citizenship markers and anti-trans legislation.

Keep your focus on the targets.
And the broader pattern.

The UCP is shifting Alberta away from liberal democracy.
Keeping up with the UCP government's democratic transgressions can be difficult.

But not impossible.

Here’s a running list since Danielle Smith became premier. 🧵👇
