Already planned on it. Too bad, it was likely to be a good one.

The Steelers were going to allow him to save face (that was their MO), but if he genuinely did resign of his own volition, they certainly made no visible effort to keep him. The reality is probably closer to a Steelers decision, or maybe, a mutual decision .

In retrospect, this response aged like milk.

To add, though I'm an atheist now, appeals to god or prayer, do not excuse you for being a shitty, judgmental human being.

I didn't believe that bullshit when I was a Christian either, and I have been one of those for close to four decades, mostly because of people like Paul Allen.

DHS was a terrible idea from the jump, and I've spent the last quarter century calling for it to be dismantled.

At this point, my record is pretty close to flawless, and I'm not happy about it.

I have been a Seahawks fan in 1976. I never became a Cardinals fan, because I don't enjoy pain and suffering. Never have plans to become a Vikings fan either. All it takes to not be an asshole is to shut your trap. Paul Allen, unibrowed chud, broke that rule. May he suffer the consequences.

Oh, it does. Seattle's O-Line was banged up earlier in the season. When they started to get healthy was when the running game really took off late in the season.

But when comparing offenses in a particular season, injuries are part of the picture. Next year, obviously, may be different.

Walker and Charbonnet at this stage of their careers, are both better than Barkley. Also, the Eagles can't hold a candle to the Seahawks O-Line.

Which one? This is more like #548 in a continuing series.

The Raiders and Chargers sold their souls to move away from their home towns. In fact, the Raiders did it twice. Since they're both shitty organizations, sooner or later they will wear out their welcome in Vegas, and the Chargers have never been welcome in Los Angeles.

Justin Herbert deserves to play for a better team than the Idaho Springs Chargers.

Fuck Epic Games.

ICE is full of shit.

The economic ignorance was the failure to grasp what happens to an economy where gold and silver are currency and suddenly an unheard of supply of gold and silver hit that economy. In a word, 16th through 18th Century Spain suffered from runaway inflation, and multiple bankruptcies (3/3).
January 8, 2026 at 4:19 PM
As long as the silver shipments made it to Spain from Mexico and Peru, the colonists had a good deal of autonomy in their own affairs. The things that ultimately doomed the Habsburgs in Spain was an old problem in the royal houses of Europe, inbreeding and economic ignorance (2/3)
January 8, 2026 at 4:16 PM
In the early centuries, the ruling house of Spain was the Habsburgs (not the Bourbons as I erroneously stated yesterday). Remember the name, because the Habsburgs were going to exit the picture in 1700. When that happened, things would take a turn for the worse (2/2).

Prosecute ICE is the only way to fix this.
January 8, 2026 at 3:01 AM
It was an attempted coup d'etat that very nearly succeeded.
January 6, 2026 at 11:57 PM
Or maybe, just maybe, people don't care nearly as much about baseball and basketball as you think they do. The TV ratings certainly reflect this. Also, all media, not just sports media is shit.
January 6, 2026 at 11:02 PM
We'll see. I'm aware Pittsburgh is a shitty organization that doesn't fire coaches that are a decade past their sell-by date, but Tomlin has one year left on his deal. If they don't extend him, he probably doesn't return.
