I'm not sure they'll ever devise a better machine for getting rid of CO2 than a tree....

That's really interesting. We still live under the "thoughtform influence" of Adam Smith, who declared that free market capitalism is the best way to end poverty. Universal Basic Income now looks much more feasible.

This is an expression, perhaps the greatest expression yet, of Neo liberalism. The basic agenda is to replace representative democracy with corporate governance. If so, the people need to know about and decide if its what we really want.

Assuming it's £1600 per month, all that's needed is £1600 average extra tax on earnings above UBI ????? One would cancel out the other....

I think there are 2 main objections. 1) Too expensive. Only really feasible if embrace modern monetary theory. 2) Encourages idleness. Proven to be untrue... people gravitate towards community service and vocational pursuits.

My research on Freeports, SEZ takes up many hours of dedicated work, my sole intent is to inform the public at large of the dangers of corporate governance. I have spoken at anti-Freeports/SEZ events in London, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness and South Devon

I've heard it said that recognition of "neurodiversity" is the last great social movement of the 20th century. The problem is that our current education system is predicated on being "normal" whereas people are actually infinitely diverse.

"Civil government is in reality instituted for the defence of the rich against the poor": Adam Smith. That's the basic idea that we've inherited from the Industrial Revolution.
