@leoevans94.bsky.social I'm concerned about the depth of the drop from the pavement to the road outside our house. It's causing problems for anyone with a pushchair or wheelchair as they try to cross the road. Anything you can do?

As an aside… Thank god for exceptional journalists like Andrew Norfolk. Proper investigative reporting involves a lot more than gobbing off on X.

The Assisted Dying bill currently before Parliament makes worrying reading. Here's a reminder about the gaps in services recently identified by the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome & Death, for people with limited life expectancy.
The timing of this bill is simply wrong.
Timely report into current planning & coordination of end of life care: National Confidedential Enq into Pt Outcomes & Death shows gaps in services, breaching 2019 NICE guidance for commissioning & providing adequate, timely planning & delivery of #EoL care & access to palliative care teams.

@patrickhurley.bsky.social Hopefully this link works.
Btw I think you've made an excellent start to your time as the MP for Southport.
Unleashing state-sanctioned killing in healthcare is not ‘progressive’
Fix the NHS, fund palliative medicine properly, sort out social care – and then we can debate this issue

Excellent, thought provoking article on assisted dying by Ian Birrell in today's @inews.co.uk Hoping our MP, @patrickhurley.bsky.social has seen this.
