Gus Englehorn put out one of my favourite albums of 2025 (The Hornbook on Secret City), so I’m grateful he made the trip from Hawaii to Hamilton to spread his acidic garage-pop gospel last night at Ooey Gooey’s. Look out for his next album—produced by Butthole Surfers’ Paul Leary!—in early 2026.
