Here's an example of how easy a search-based list can be. This is for the "UKTeaching 🎓" list, which currently has 395 members but is now updating automatically every hour.

2) In Skyfeed, click on the "Fed Builder" (spanner icon). Use the "Add Block" button repeated to create a sequence of rules that will define your list. This is fairly intuitive, but you might need to play with the options. Here are the blocks for the "UK Teaching 🎓" feed.

So I used Skyfeed to set up the UK Teaching feed. To pin a post, you just add it as a block at the bottom of the configuration. Not sure if there's a different way.
