So, Studio Cubed was originally meant to be a collective of 3 artists, and for a time, we had that in a studio in St Paul. Over time, lives fell apart, and that community dissolved, leaving me holding an empty failed idea. The studio name became my own, but it was never meant to just be me.

I remembered why I hate wire sculpture work.... My hands and arms are scratched up, I bled on my project a few times, and I got blisters on my fingers from the pliers.... But the frame for my puppet fish lantern is like 95% done! Sorry. It's difficult to photograph wire. It's a lake sturgeon.

I'm having a bit of a poor mental health day, I'm sure many of you can relate. I'm just feeling like, what I do, my art, doesn't matter. That it's not enough. However, when I think about wanting that validation and recognition, I see it as being conceited and selfish, so I can't win either way.
