Today, scrolling thumbnails in my news feed, I saw no stories about women... 😮‍💨 reactions to violence, yes, women as clickbait, yes. There were more stories about dogs than women.

A 'Granny's cloak moth' (Speiredonia spectans) caplet in the works!

I'm looking for anyone with traditional knowledge of the moth, info on the common name history, or 1800-1840's English/Australian women's fashion. Anybody?

I've seen the bonfire moss, (Funaria hygrometrica) it in Europe and Australia. It is common in disturbed land like recent building sites and on burned patches as advertised. It disperses it's spores in the atmosphere! You can probably spot its curly stalks somewhere near you.
