Hopefully it gets reversed in the meantime. Did window to window comparisons all day yesterday. It is safe to say that Apple is trashing their desktop UI big time.

Not sure about the acceptance part. Unacceptance is not measurable.

Animations are also kinda slow in many places. It causes me slight motion sickness.
Turning on "reduce motion" does not really solve it. It just replaces some animations with way too slow fade-ins and outs.
This is some bad design there.
