Well yes and no, Utah’s staff will be nearly the same next year. Just replacing two spots for TE and DC

They have been out for a long time, it was a pure PR move by BYU to wait. They were in BYU’s locker room celebrating winning over Utah, it was pretty obvious at that point.

Part of the reason Cosmo is the way he is is because BYU’s sporting events are way more of a show outside of the actual game than most places do since BYU has to entertain an overall very different audience than most schools.
