VO beef of the day: It is so yucky to listen to white actors try to portray PoC characters. I think Casting Call Club is revolutionary in that it allows voice actors to see what other ppl are doing/submitting so we can learn/grow. But nearly every single PoC accent done by white actors is offensive.

Something I do want folks to know about this situation with BlueSky-

It is, in essence, the exact same as the one with MasterCard / Visa.

And just like with the payment processors, the best thing for us to do is to become tremendous pains in the ass.

Make them miserable. Ruin their ratings.

This year, it feels like a lot of the panels submitted to @officialpax.bsky.social that focused on socio-cultural intersectionality from the POV of marginalized communities were backburnered in favor of more neutral, impossible to be seen as offensive, yet entertaining/informative ones. I'm on one.
