Books, planes, building things, family, the environment, democracy. Not in that order.

This is me speaking only for me.
Collectively we need to flex the amendment muscles we gifted ourselves in the original writing. 2nd amendment isn’t clear? Clarify it! Make the change we need to make our democracy work. It’s literally not scripture handed down from on high, stop treating it as such.

There was an excerpt/predecessor in the Guardian that gets the point across for slightly more casual commitment.

‘This guy doesn’t know anything’: the inside story of Trump’s shambolic transition team
Michael Lewis, author of Moneyball and The Big Short, reveals how Trump’s bungled presidential transition set the template for his time in the White House

This was kinda the premise of Michael Lewis’ “The Fifth Risk”, and it’s so true. A nihilistic (or worse!) approach to democratic government should be disqualifying by definition.

I think I caught PBS NewsHour at the right time in my life, because it put people on my screen who actually knew shit and could talk and debate and answer questions. And I was old enough to see that was legit, and possible. And then when it was missing I could see that too. And now I still can.

Could be a cheapo wheel set for the amount of use it’d see.

My mouth feels like I took the cinnamon challenge just looking at that, but without the benefit of the flavor that would bring.

I’ve known a couple Jeopardy champs, so for no other reason I’m gonna say that.

That is, in fact, false. My hat shall remain forever untipped regarding this matter.

Good day.

I was curious so checked, and that wasn’t available on my model (Bolt EUV). It does have auto hi-beams but I rarely use them where I’m typically driving.

Looking forward to that being a more widespread feature though. I think about the movie “Tucker” nearly every time I go around a bend at night…

Bespoke ketchup rarely approaches “as good”, and is often actually foul.

A filter that just adjusts his skin tone to natural and removes the hair confection, and he might lose half his voters.

Been on a major Nova Twins kick since watching their Tiny Desk set a few weeks back. Bass heavy group, and while it’s a pretty common lick, I can’t unhear “brbr DENG” whenever it‘s played now.

So, thanks?

Last year we were a Prius / Volt household, this year Volt / Bolt EUV. Overall electricity + gasoline expenses went down about $700 for the year. That was nice.

I had a neighbor that had to use a 6’ ladder to check their F250’s oil. Never a speck of dirt on the thing.

Just from a vehicle dynamics POV it’s insane, much less the utility of the things.

We’ll be a real country once again when we can collectively admit that wagons are f’ing awesome.

Preach. It’s kinda insane how accurate the low beams are on my 2022 vehicle, like I see the Jersey barrier and nothing above it. But that lifted Ram 3500 half mile back is shining directly at or above my rear view - only lucky the ”off-road” light bar isn’t also in the mix…
