...also, keep in mind that it was Trump who in his first term first said that there were only 5 cases of covid in the US and there was nothing to worry about. Later he said if we quit testing for covid the numbers would be a lot lower. Sticking your head in the sand doesn't fix anything.

You're used to MAGA reporters who never tell you anything you don't want to hear. For instance, keep watching FOX news and come back to this thread if/when you hear FOX report about declining US corporate investment. Trump just blames Powell for everything, but you can't fool the bond markets.

I don't think the Powell lowering the bank rate will help bring down mortgage rates. The problem is over-supply of treasury debt into a world that no longer holds the US dear to its hearts. I get the sense that the bond markets are in control right now and an instable FED will weaken the US.

...a big problem with Florida growers is that the fields are often burned after the harvest which causes a lot of thick black smoke, potentially dangerous, for nearby communities.

...it might be a smart move though. I imagine that there is a segment of the US population who would prefer cane sugar over alternative sweeteners.
