York Tap. Last orders pre KFC cos I'm soberer than I was in Oxon. Owlie McBurnie says hi. Floor 8/10 despite no carpet. Toilets less bad than usual. First spooky beer of the season. A fine station pub.

So funny when they drew 0-0 with us first day of season, all they could say was 'waaaah, we won't score goals all season' and I'm sat there thinking settle down lads, it was just a surprisingly good defensive performance from us!

Post emptive! Bell, Chearsley. A thatched gorgeous Fuller's. Look at that flooring! Look at those locals. You'd honestly love it here. Hope it gets back on GBG soon. Hophead nice. But lack of ESB disturbing.

Pub 3052, Kings Head, Haddenham. A very meaty Tim Taylor Landlord gave way to some wailing twildery, a darts tournament failed to materialise mainly cos my legs didnt move. But I sobered up by London.

Pub 3051, Cross Keys, Thame. Pub of the day. The bubble on my Oakham Citra needed blowing. Beautiful pub as you know if you've been. Amelia n Alex on top form. Thanks to @Komakino_76 for high quality chauffeuring .

Parcel Yard, King's Cross. We are back baby. After a long lay off. Dont ask me the ESB cost but it drinks so smooth. Pushed in front of a beardo who fell asleep at bar!

Pub 3050, Falcon, Thame. Happy Hooky Spewer on its last day open with live music and vinegary mild. Baldo had poo with door open and in 5,900 pubs I've not seen that before.

Pub 3049, Lions of Bledlow, Bledlow. Midsomer loveliness with man who is half Ed Sheeran half Oli McB. Very atmospheric but could've been even zingier.

Pub 3047, Leathern Bottel, Lewknor. Been in every GBG but one and it shows. One of those rare 'food but incredibly pubby' birds. Carpet a solid 8. Things hanging off ceiling aren't car air fresheners. Gravity drinking Brakspearly.

Pub 3046, Spire & Spoke, Watlington. Buggy baby breakfast chaos as they all try and get a bacon bap down their throats before 12 noon cut off. We've gone outside to a cute booth ravaged by strong winds. A Helen booted me out of one. Chairman drinking well at 3.5%

Pre emptive Golden Lion, Todmorden. It is getting in 2027 and nothing you unimaginative micro tosspots can do about. Beautiful beer, lots on, bit crazy n music but a proper alive hole like Tod has forgotten how.

Pub 3045, Nan Moor's, Todmorden. Classic modern Tod hippy dippy chippy, but cosier than their last few GBG entries & second best today. Winning cash over card chat with landlady. I've paid cash everywhere today n love it. One beer. Gravity. Marble. Ballbag citrus fruit.
