Go for it, I keep trying to find an alternative to tape as it sometimes leaves a bit of a sticky residue on the cage but havent really found anything that works better.
I tend to fold a but of tape on the inside, where the hole is, so that it doesnt stick to much to my skin

Haha, thanks. It was getting annoying, especially cos its a bit small so there's a fair bit of skin that hangs out the end lol
