Agreed. DARKMAN was cut to shit by the studio and it still turned out great. Goes to show how gifted a director he is.

It will be a full on assault until the midterms. Besides the violence, they're using culture jamming techniques just like the underground artists did back in the 90s. Take Trump's BOARD OF PEACE for example. Everyone calls it "gaslighting" - which it is - but its more insidious than that.
