Finances is a different matter and will often make people forget ethics. PRS are constantly subject to well publicized legal battles from artists & especially songwriters, but these ethical issues, as well as Bandcamps, are often forgotten simply because they pay more than Spotify.

I also have ethical issues with such companies. However as a label owner I have disregard ethics otherwise there will be nowhere to promote and sell music. Unfortunately Spotify and YT are such huge marketing tools that it is hard to balance ethics sometimes.

...do you know that Bandcamp are being taken to court for their alleged racist and transphobic retrenchment/recruitment practices? There will soon be nowhere 'safe' for an artiste to offer their music ! 😉
